Appointments
APPOINTMENT TRIAGE SYSTEM - GETTING YOU TO THE RIGHT PLACE EVERY DAY!
Appointments are available daily between 8:00 and 18:30. These cover a range of healthcare professionals in addition to a GP. We try to book the most appropriate appointment for you with the most appropriate healthcare professional.
To book an appointment or raise a query (at any time ) there are 1 of 2 ways:
- Use the ONLINE ACCESS TO YOUR GP button on the practice website
- online form on the nhs.uk website - this will take you to the same form as in [1]
If you require an interpreter, please make this clear when you complete the form so additional time can be allocated
This request will be reviewed by a GP every morning and afternoon between the hours of 8:30 and 18:30 – they or a member of staff will contact you. If an appointment is indicated you will be offered the most appropriate appointment - this may be with a GP or another healthcare professional. Please make sure you are available to be contacted and can attend the surgery because this may be at short notice.
How to make an appointment
1. CONTACT THE GP or, complete the nhs.uk form
2. Access is also available on the NHS APP
AI-assisted note taking
Some clinicians at our practice are currently trialling Heidi Health, an AI-powered clinical documentation assistant. Your GP remains responsible for your care and medical records. If you would prefer Heidi Health not to be used during your consultation, simply let your clinician know.
IF AN APPOINTMENT IS NOT INDICATED WITH A GP
You will be offered the most appropriate appointment - this may be with a GP or another healthcare professional.
It may also be appropriate to offer you an appointment with the following heatlhcare partners:
- Community Pharmacy (NHS pharmacy scheme offering daily appointments for minor illness and ailments)
- Enhanced Access appointments (evenings (18:30-21:30) and weekends at other practices/venues across the town)
