Family Planning

Contraceptive reviews are completed by our Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP).

If you are currently using the contraceptive pill or injection and are due for repeat medication, you will be asked to complete a brief health questionnaire to determine that your current method of contraception is still correct for you and you are still happy using.

If you wish to start contraception and are not sure which method is right for you, or you are using contraception and wish to discuss alternative options, a telephone appointment can be booked with our ANP.

Insertion of Coils and Implant are overseen by Dr S Kotnani in a weekly family planning clinic.  If you wish to discuss long acting contraceptive methods, such as the coil, implant and contraceptive injection – our ANP can go through these options with you.
