Cervical Cancer Prevention Week - 22-28 January 2024
22 January 2024
Cervical screening is a free health test available on the NHS as part of the national cervical screening programme. It helps prevent cervical cancer by checking for a virus called high-risk HPV and cervical cell changes. It is not a test for cancer.
If you are 25-49 or 50-64 and you have had an invite from the NHS please book an appointment with the practice nurse - appointments can be flexible to fit around you.
If you have symptoms, contact the practice about having an examination. Cervical screening is not for people who have symptoms.
